About pricing
Is ChordOne Note free to use?
Free for up to 20 employees, with no charges for page count or storage. For 21 or more, it's ¥200 (about $1.5)/user/month. If you use 4 or more standard ChordOne features, the max is ¥800 (about $5.5)/user/month.
Is there a time limit for the free plan?
No. If you have 20 or fewer employees, you can use it for free with no time limit. All features are available, and there are no charges for page count, storage, or external guests.
How is pricing calculated if we have more than 20 users?
From the month you exceed 20 users, pricing is based on the number of registered employees. For Note only, it is ¥200 (about $1.5) per user per month. For example, with 50 users, it is ¥10,000 per month. The core employee directory and org chart are always free.
What if we want to use other ChordOne features?
If you use four or more standard modules such as HR management, performance, surveys, SaaS management, or contract management, the monthly maximum is ¥800 (about $5.5) per user. Recruitment management (ATS) is an additional ¥500 (about $3.5) per user per month, with a total cap of ¥1,200 (about $8) per user per month including ATS. For details, see the pricing page.
About features
How is it different from Notion or other internal wikis?
It runs on the same account and platform as your HR data, including employee directory, departments, and evaluations. You can select employees directly in tables, and access updates automatically with hires, transfers, or departures. You can import from Notion via ZIP export.
What can I do with the database?
Switch between table, board, calendar, gallery, timeline, and chart views. Supports relations, rollups, formulas, sub-items, grouped filters, and summaries. Rows can be opened as pages in a side panel. For details, see the features page.
Does the AI meeting minutes feature require a bot to join meetings? Is there an extra cost?
No bots are used. Users record from the Chrome extension themselves. Summaries appear first, and full transcripts can be viewed in a collapsible section. 1-on-1s and interview candidates at the same time are automatically linked. No extra fees.
Who can respond to public forms?
Anyone with the public link can respond without logging in. Responses are delivered directly as rows in the database where the form was created. You can publish or stop the form with one click. When stopped, responses via the link are disabled.
Can I get notifications in Slack?
Yes. With automations, you can send in-app or Slack notifications when a row is created or a field changes. You can check the result as "Completed" or "Needs review."
Can I use it in English?
Yes. You can switch the interface between Japanese and English. Teams with both Japanese and English speakers can use the same pages in their preferred language.
About security and permissions
Can admins see private pages?
No. New pages are private to the creator by default, and even admins cannot view the content of private pages. You can specify who to share each page with, by person or department.
Can I share with people outside the company?
Yes. You can invite specific email addresses to access only that page. For each invite, you can set permissions for viewing, commenting, or editing. Other workspace information is not shown.
Can I share by department? What happens if someone transfers?
Yes. If you specify a department as the sharing target, everyone in that department can view the content. When someone joins or transfers in the directory, the sharing scope updates automatically, so you don't need to adjust it for each person.
Where can I check security and data handling details?
The Security and Privacy Policy pages on the ChordOne website explain data protection and service operations. Information on internal notes, search, and inviting external guests is also included.
About migration
Can I migrate data from Notion?
Yes, you can. Export a ZIP file from Notion using "Markdown and CSV" and "Include subpages," then upload it to "Import" under "Settings" at the bottom left. You can import additional files later using the same steps. The process is summarized in the migration checklist article.
Will Notion relations and permissions transfer as-is?
They do not transfer as-is. Imported pages are initially visible only to the person who imported them, so you need to reassign sharing. Relations and formulas differ by product, so you will need to reset them and check totals after import.
About support
How long does it take to get started?
Register with your company email to start using it the same day. Creating and sharing pages takes just a few minutes, and you can use business templates with columns, views, and forms ready to go. Notion imports can also be done on the same day. For details, see Getting Started.
Can I request a demo or materials?
Yes. You can request a consultation or materials from the Contact page on the ChordOne website. We can also advise on migration from Notion and setting up sharing permissions.
